Speed
The output settings for the DataScreen can be easily changed in the Amber software. Multiple options are available for getting the best resolution and run time. It is not necessary to change any of the settings once a comfortable format is chosen for all print jobs within a company.
The operator can use a single print head up to all four print heads. Higher resolution files are recommended to run with one or two print heads for accuracy. Speed comes with all four heads working together.
Uni-directional will only image as the head passes from right to left. Again, this is meant to add accuracy to the image quality. Printing in the Bi-directional mode will run the fastest as the heads will image in both directions when they travel side to side.
The “Standard “dot size lays the most ink on the emulsion for faster imaging and greater opacity. Halftones and critical images will use the “Micro” dot or even the “Super Micro” dot.
The orientation of the frame in the DataScreen will also effect the run time. Since the heads only image with the side to side movement, the longer direction of the image should be in the same side to side direction. The heads do not print as the machine “Steps” to the next part of the image. Therefore, it is preferred to reduce the number of “Steps” to gain quicker output speeds.
